GITEX Global 2024: Insights

From October 14-18, 2024, I had the pleasure of representing our company at the 44th edition of GITEX Global in Dubai, one of the most significant technology events in the world. I would like to talk about that in more details.

A rally of innovations

This edition, which attracted 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from more than 180 countries, counted an impressive number of 200,000 visitors. The latter is already a real demonstration of how important technological innovation is on the international level.

AI as a key focus

One of the main themes of GITEX this year was the transformative power of artificial intelligence. I had the privilege to see how AI is changing the face of industries and leading towards economic growth worldwide. It was also a critical platform for deliberations upon challenges and opportunities related to AI across sectors like cybersecurity, future mobility, and healthcare.

New initiatives and expansions

This year was also marked by the addition of some new initiatives, including the World Future Economy Digital Leaders Summit and GITEX Editions, which covered innovation and AI regulations. This undoubtedly shows that GITEX is not a follower of trends but actively shapes the future of the sector.

Global expansion

Secondly, GITEX Global is making plans for events at locations other than Dubai. In the following years, events are set to happen in Morocco, Singapore, Berlin, and Nigeria. The Next GITEX Global will be from 13-17 October 2025, after which, in 2026, the event will be at Expo City Dubai and solidify its position as one of the leading global tech events.

Conclusion

GITEX Global 2024 was an amazing experience. This event just showed how technology can change the world, mainly due to AI. It was a great opportunity for me Qarbon IT to present our achievements but also to learn and be inspired by innovations that shape our future.
